Anyone Can Burn Rubber in a 2018 Ford Mustang!

Smoking tires has always been a badge of motorsport-enthusiast pride. It takes know-how and finesse to do it right without wrecking your transmission. Unless you have an electronic line-lock system, like professional drag racers do.

Line lock very simply freezes up the brakes on the front axle, allowing the rear wheels (of a rear-wheel drive vehicle) to spin freely, creating billowing plumes of white smoke as the car stays safely in place. No fussing with the brakes, just a simple button push.

Electronic line-lock has previously been available on the high-performance V8 Mustang GT...
